Neurodiversity Training Sessions for Parents/ Carers

													

Neuro-diversity describes a number of neurological and developmental conditions which affect how individuals process information and interpret the world. These conditions include: Dyslexia, Asperger Syndrome, Dyspraxia, ADHD, Dyscalculia, Anxiety (related) Disorders and many other co-existing conditions.

Heather Wright is a retired Occupational Therapist with 40+ years experience in neuro-developmental disabilities. Heather’s area of a special interest lies within Sensory Integration & Sensory Processing Disorder. Heather currently delivers sessions for the A.R.C (Autism Resource Centre, Glasgow) & Carers Link, East Dunbartonshire. Certification will be available on completion of each set of sessions.

There is no cost to parents/ carers.

These sessions can also be accessed at a cost by professional or community workers. Occasionally, we can offer a "sponsored position" via the family sessions (if highly valuable or beneficial to the particular parent/ carer sessions).

There are day (10.30am to 1pm) and evening sessions (6pm to 8.30pm) available. If you would like more information & reserve a position on the sessions please email the team at differabledscotland@gmail.com.

Parking is limited - please allow extra time to locate a parking space *Adjoining car-park is private & cars require permits
